Former Mission Inn Foundation curator Kevin Halloran told the Press-Enterprise that guests, maids and bellmen described a rocking chair rocking and TVs turning on in the old room of Alice Richardson, Frank Miller's sister, who managed the hotel until her death in the 1930s. A maid reported hearing footsteps and jangling keys pass her with no one there. Source: Press-Enterprise, 2014.
Halloran said a guard in the Spanish Wing saw a snarling dog reflected in a beveled mirror; Halloran noted the mirror can produce double images. Source: Press-Enterprise, 2014.
