Real history

The Daily Press (2011) wrote that Bob Byers opened his ranch lake as a public campground with slides in 1962, naming it for his wife, and closed it in 1988. It reopened as Rock-A-Hoola in 1998; a worker was paralyzed in an accident there. Later investors went bankrupt and sold off the slides; it has been closed since 2004 (Daily Press). Wikipedia says Rock-A-Hoola ran for three seasons (Wikipedia).
