Facts below are drawn from the linked sources.

Real history

The three-story building went up in 1887; until 1908 its upper floors held offices and its ground floor a tea and confectionery shop. In 1908 it was remodeled with a 550-seat vaudeville theater, and it was listed on the National Register on April 3, 1973 (National Register nomination).

In 2026 Cowboy State Daily reported that renovation crews found a railroad worker's overalls and a wool suit stuffed in third-floor ceilings, and an Italian stiletto knife (Cowboy State Daily, 2026).

Cheyenne Little Theatre stages shows at the historic Atlas (Cheyenne Little Theatre).

Ghost stories

These are reported legends, not verified events. The creepiness score (1–5) is Spook Atlas's own editorial rating, not a measurement.

A night with ghost hunters Our creepiness rating 💀💀💀💀💀
In 2016 a Wyoming Tribune Eagle reporter joined the Paranormal Hunting and Observation Group, which had investigated the building nearly a dozen times. The reporter noted urban legends of a fatal fire, a "woman in white," and a child whose hair was pulled by an unseen force, and said they vary in believability. Source: Wyoming Tribune Eagle, 2016.
