Real history
The lightstation was established in 1889 on a 361-foot rock and is part of Point Sur State Historic Park. The light still operates as an aid to navigation (Wikipedia).
Ghost stories
These are reported legends, not verified events. The creepiness score (1–5) is Spook Atlas's own editorial rating, not a measurement.
The station's volunteer site advertises a Halloween tour with stories of "Pt. Sur's ghostly past," a talk by a paranormal investigator, and a visit to the unrestored Triplex, which it calls one of the station's "real haunted houses." It does not describe specific sightings. Source: pointsur.org.
